Zhigao Bridge Reconstruction Project

Program Overview : 
    The bridge is 220 meters long, spans the raft creek, the main span is increased to 84.4 meters, and only 2 piers are located in the water area (9 piers before the reconstruction), which greatly improves the effective water section of the riverbed and improves the situation that the area is prone to flooding for many years.
    With a width of 35 meters, it is a rare two-way 8-lane bridge in Taichung City, and due to its proximity to Zhongshan Gaonantun Interchange, after the completion of the reconstruction, the outermost lanes of both directions are directly connected to the highway ramp, greatly improving the smooth flow of traffic.
    After more than 800 days of design, supervision and construction manufacturers, it was finally successfully completed and opened to traffic in September 2018.
