Program Overview : 
    The shape of the main bridge is a back-to-back bridge with "flying birds" as the main body of design, showing the artistic conception of birds "spreading their wings and flying". There are two pedestrian bridges with a length of 206m and 209m respectively. The bridge abandons the pre-stressed steel cable and uses the steel box-type cross-section member as the oblique tension component, which has the advantage that the steel box-type cross-section member is more economical than the pre-stressed steel cable system (including anchor head), and there is no concern about the relaxation of the steel cable, and the height of the King-Post is only about 1/8 to 1/10 of its span, which is much lower than the height of the main tower of the diagonal tension bridge or suspension bridge, which is easier for future bridge maintenance or inspection. On behalf of Tainan City, Benqiao participated in the 2008 National Construction Excellence Award in the Best Planning and Design category and won the Excellence Award.
