    Shilin weir since the Republic of China 91 years of operation, after the 921 earthquake collapsed the impact of soil and rock, water turbidity soared, resulting in the problem of sediment siltation in the diversion facilities and reservoirs, affecting the efficiency of cross-regional water diversion, the operation of the power generation tail water outlet erosion, carrying sediment into the reservoir area, coupled with the collapse of sand and gravel on the slope of the reservoir itself, so the plan to develop and plan to improve the Shilin Weir water diversion facilities and operation measures, reduce the amount of sediment introduced into the Shilin Weir reservoir, and increase the amount of water diversion as the main purpose, Therefore, this plan plans to improve the Shilinyan water diversion facilities and operation measures, including 1. the establishment of the most suitable insert height to block the entry of the moving mass and the diversion of clean water flow, 2. the addition of permanent hoisting gate equipment, 3. 4. The installation of sand concentration or turbidity monitoring facilities, and the operation measures include adjusting the upper limit of the water intake of the Da'an River diversion flow to control the water intake and increasing the sand concentration limit standard to control the water intake, so as to reduce the amount of sediment introduced into Shilin Weir and increase the amount of water diversion, which is expected to help alleviate the medium and long-term water pressure in the central region in the future.
