Program Overview :
The Wushanling Water Diversion Tunnel connects Zengwen Reservoir and Wushantou Reservoir to supply water for life, industry and agriculture (more than 60,000 hectares of farmland in the Jianan Plain).
It has been more than 89 years since the old tunnel was opened to water in 19 years, and the tunnel structure is aging and the water transmission capacity is reduced, which affects the water supply and dispatch of various subject waters.
The current water transmission capacity of the old tunnel is about 40cms, and the original water transmission capacity of 56cms can be restored after the completion of the new tunnel, and can be used as a backup with the old tunnel to improve the stability of water supply and dispatch for living, industrial and agricultural purposes in Jianan.
The new inlet meets the flood control standard of Q200 (9,420cms) of the latest Tsang Man Creek Treatment Plan, and the facilities need to be able to cope with the anti-silting operation of Tsang Man Reservoir without hindering the water intake function of the existing East Mouth Weir.
Barrage project: including fixed weir, auxiliary dam, sand drain, discharge channel, interception wall and diversion wall and downstream fixed bed worker; ★ Stabilize the flow center to meet the flood control and energy dissipation needs of the design flood from the 200-year return period; ★ The minimum discharge volume of the river is 0.06cms (0.04cms during the water restriction period), the ★ sand discharge function is equipped to avoid the formation of siltation in the vestibule of the water inlet, and the ★ water intake and sand discharge functions of the original Dongkou weir are maintained.
Water intake project: including bell-shaped water intake, trash rack, diversion culvert, retaining gate, flood control wall and high beach land finishing; ★ Design water intake: 56cms; ★ The flood control wall meets the demand of 1.5m of design flood + water outlet height in 200 years; ★ It should have the function of a water measuring facility.
Water diversion tunnel: including the Dongkou Yexi River crossing section, the tunnel mouth section, and the main tunnel section; ★ Design water transfer: 56cms; ★ The longitudinal slope of the tunnel is 1/1,200, and the horseshoe-shaped section with an inner diameter of R=2.7m.
Water outlet project: including culvert section and open channel section; ★ Ensure that the design water transfer will not be affected when the flood is below the 25-year return period of the Xikou River; ★ Avoid scouring downstream of the river.
