Pilot operation of runoff sharing and outflow control under the Integrated River Basin Management Plan: A case study of Annam District

Client : Tainan City Government
Location : Annan District, Tainan City
Program Overview :
Before the completion of the revision of the special chapter on runoff sharing and outflow control in the Water Conservancy Law, the Water Resources Department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs commissioned five counties and cities to run trial operation plans in order to formulate a strategy for the sharing and control of runoff as a reference for policy promotion. The Tainan Municipal Government has chosen the catchment area of the Yanshui Creek drainage system within the boundaries of the Annan Administrative Region (with an area of about 65 km2) as the pilot area to handle the planning of diversion sharing, the planning of outflow control measures, the development of the trial operation mechanism and the negotiation of operations.
